Job Role:
Laminator
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare moulds for taking mouldings
- Read and understand layup drawings and instructions
- Perform various methods of manufacturing processes including hand-lay open and closed moulding such as hand-lay and infusion
- Identify defects in the moulds and products
- Have a knowledge of various resins and core materials
- Prepare all gels, resins and core materials for application
- Apply gels, core materials and resins to the moulds
- Release mouldings from moulds
- Housekeeping
- Record daily times spent on jobs
- Use the relevant PPE as required
Other desirable attributes:
- Finishing of mouldings including trimming and polishing to the required standard
- Gel repairs of moulds and mouldings
- Application of release agents to Plugs and moulds
- Be willing to learn and share your experience and knowledge
39 hours per week - £12.50 to £14.00 per hour dependent on experience
GRP Finisher
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Trimming and finishing products and moulds
- Flatting, sanding and polishing products and moulds using a variety of abrasives and compounds
- Repairing moulds and products including structural repairs and Gel repairs
- Identify defects in the moulds and products
- Working to high standards
- Preparing all required materials for the given task
- Release mouldings from moulds
- Housekeeping
- Record daily times spent on jobs
- Use the relevant PPE as required
Other desirable attributes:
- Laminating
- Material preparation for laminating and infusion
- Application of release agents to Plugs and moulds
- Be willing to learn and share your experience and knowledge
